Strong tremors struck Delhi and the neighbouring areas on Friday night following an earthquake that struck Nepal with a magnitude of 6.4. The Delhi-NCR region’s residents reported that the tremors lasted for many seconds, and recorded footage showed fans and lights trembling inside of homes.
Additionally, people flocked from their houses and buildings and congregated in public areas.
In one such video, the powerful earthquake was seen causing two fans to shake back and forth.
When the earthquake struck at 11:32 p.m., families had to quickly evacuate their homes because they were getting ready for the weekend. As soon as possible, there were no reports of fatalities or property damage resulting from the earthquake.
Residents of high-rise apartment complexes in Noida and other NCR areas hastened to safety.
The news agency was informed by a Ghaziabad resident that the earthquakes lasted longer than 15 seconds and that his house’s window panes were rattling.
A resident of Delhi recorded a video of a light swinging dramatically as a result of the vibrations.
This is the third time in a month that Nepal has experienced powerful earthquakes.
The majority of Bihar, certain regions of Jharkhand, Punjab, Haryana, Lucknow, Jaipur, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand were among the northern Indian states where the earthquake was felt.
