The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Delhi LG VK Saxena are “conspiring to kill CM Arvind Kejriwal in Tihar jail,” according to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He warned that anything may happen to the AAP Supremo while they are incarcerated, citing medical records as evidence.
Addressing a press conference here, AAP MP Sanjay Singh said, “Today’s press conference is about how BJP and Delhi LG are playing with the life of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and conspiring to kill him in jail…”
“The medical report of Arvind Kejriwal is enough to tell that anything can happen to him at any time in the jail and the way Delhi LG and BJP are making wrong statements on Arvind Kejriwal’s health confirms our doubt…,” the AAP leader said.
The AAP slammed Lt Governor VK Saxena’s remarks on Saturday, claiming that he implied that Kejriwal was “deliberately” harming himself. They said that the AAP leader was the target of a “sinister plan to kill” by the BJP.
Saxena expressed concern about Kejriwal’s “non-consumption” of his prescribed medical food and medications while he is in Tihar jail under judicial custody in a letter sent on Friday from the LG’s office to the chief secretary. He gave the officers orders to look into why this was happening.
Based on a report on Kejriwal’s health from the Superintendent of Tihar Jail, the correspondence emphasised times when the chief minister engaged in “willful low-calorie intake” even though he was getting enough home-cooked food. Additionally, the report stated that on July 7, Kejriwal declined to take insulin before supper.
Kejriwal lost weight and his blood sugar levels decreased, according to the Aam Aadmi Party, which has accused the BJP and the central government of plotting to damage his health while he was incarcerated. The party also claimed that Kejriwal was in danger of going into a coma or suffering brain damage since his blood sugar dropped to 50 mg/dL five times in one night.
On July 13, Sanjay Singh claimed that Arvind Kejriwal had lost 8.5 kg in jail, calling it a sign of “serious illness”. “The Chief Minister has lost weight from 70 to 61.5 kg since his arrest,” he had claimed.
