Security Forces Recover Burnt Body Of Terrorist As Anantnag Encounter And Search Operation Enters Day 6

As the 6-day encounter and search operation entered Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir, security personnel reportedly found a terrorist’s burned body on Monday, according to sources.

Security force members assume the burned body belongs to the terrorist based on the clothing pattern on the body.

An attempt is being made to find the bodies of a soldier and another terrorist who were discovered by a drone in another location. The search operation was renewed in the area early on Monday morning.

On Sunday, the fifth day of the conflict, reports of a fierce gunfire between security personnel and terrorists came from the region. On Monday, no new firings have, however, taken place as of yet.

Three security officers lost their lives during the Anantnag operation, which also saw the utilization of cutting-edge surveillance and firepower delivery systems. According to the security forces, the operation has been greatly impacted by the military’ use of precision fire.

The terrorists in the area on Wednesday killed a soldier named Humayun Bhat, Major Ashish Dhonchak, Deputy Superintendent of Jammu and Kashmir Police, and Colonel Manpreet Singh, Commanding Officer of 19 Rashtriya Rifles.
