Police Arrests Sixth Accused In Kanjhawala Death Case

The Delhi Police on Friday detained a sixth suspect in connection with the horrible incident, which occurred days after a 20-year-old woman was struck and killed by a car in Delhi’s Sultanpuri neighbourhood.

According to DCP (Outer) Harendra Kumar Singh, Ashutosh was detained in East Delhi. According to police, the victim was dragged under Ashutosh’s automobile in the early hours of Sunday and transported 12 kilometres.

As opposed to the five guys first believed to be in the car that hit the woman’s scooter, four men, according to the Delhi Police, were in it on Thursday.

When the five suspects were questioned, Special Commissioner for Law and Order Sagar Preet Hooda claimed that two other persons had been involved. The two allegedly tried to shield the five accused, according to the authorities.

For a variety of offences, including criminal conspiracy, culpable homicide not amounting to murder, causing death by negligence, and reckless driving on a public road, the police had filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Amit Khanna, Deepak Khanna, Krishan, Mithun, and Manoj Mittal. They were given a four-day custody order by a Delhi court on Thursday.

The vicrim and her friend Nidhi allegedly left the hotel at 1.30 am, according to the police. The victim, according to Nidhi, wanted to drive the scooter because she wasn’t thinking clearly at the time. The victim was operating the scooty when the automobile struck it. The car did not stop after she became stuck underneath it.
