According to Union Health Ministry, India On Tuesday registered 1,68,063 fresh Covid cases, which is 6.5% lower than on Monday. The deaths in last 24 hours have reported 277.
This huge continuous surge in Covid-19 cases have brought India’s infection tally to 3,58,75,790 with deaths to 4,84,213.
The states that have hugely contributed to these numbers are Maharashtra with 33,470 cases along with West Bengal with 19,286, Delhi with 19,166, Tamil Nadu with 13,990 and Karnataka lowest among these top five states with 11,698 cases.
However, the precautionary dose administration to the frontline workers and the senior citizens above the age of 60 have already started in India from Monday.
In its revised guidelines, the Centre has now made seven day of home isolation compulsory for all the international travellers from today.
Meanwhile, US on Monday reported Covid hospitalizations at 1,32,646.
