According to an official statement on Sunday, veteran actor and BJP politician Mithun Chakraborty’s health has improved and he is currently “quite stable.”
Chakraborty, 73, was brought to a private hospital in this city on Saturday following a complaint of excruciating chest discomfort.
“He has eaten a soft diet, is fully cognizant, well-oriented, and active during his recovery. Before being released from the hospital, he will go through a few investigations, the medical facility representative stated.
The well-known actor has already had several medical examinations performed at the hospital, including an MRI.
Actor Mithun Chakraborty, who was recently bestowed with the third-highest civilian award in the nation, the Padma Bhushan, has appeared in about 350 films in Tamil, Bengali, Hindi, Odia, and Bhojpuri.
