Donald Trump Arrested Over Charges Of Conspiracy In 2020 Elections

Former US President Donald Trump was released on bond of worth $200,000 after being arrested on Thursday at a Georgia jail over charges of racketeering and conspiracy.

Mr Trump is accused of conspiring with 18 other defendants to manipulate results of 2020 elections and he spent less than 30 minutes inside the Atlanta’s jail before he left for airport.

A photograph released from sheriff’s office showed him in a bad-tempered while being dressed in a dark blue suit with red tie and white shirt.

Trump who is also the frontrunner in the upcoming 2024 Republican presidential nomination after his arrest said it was a “very sad day for America”.

“What has taken place here is a travesty of justice,” he said while talking to reporters. “I did nothing wrong”, he added.

Since April, the former US President has been criminally indicted four times and have also given a year full of drama as he attempted to juggle multiple court appearances and also White House campaign.
