In response to the horrific train accident in Balasore, Odisha, which has claimed 233 lives to date, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has postponed all of its events relating to the PM Modi government’s ninth anniversary set for Saturday.
JP Nadda, the president of the BJP, tweeted in support of this and conveyed his sorrow over the tragic incident.
“I am deeply saddened by the horrific train accident that took place in Balasore, Odisha. In view of the horrific train accident, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has postponed all its programs across the country today,” Nadda said.
He expressed his condolences to the victims’ families and described the situation as being incredibly sad and heartbreaking.
Between May 30 and June 30, the Bharatiya Janata Party has scheduled a number of events all around the nation to commemorate the government’s nine years in power.
