AAP spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar urged Lt to give his house to CM in exchange for his house

In order to put an end to the heated discussion surrounding Kejriwal’s spending 45 crore to renovate his official residence, AAP national spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar on Tuesday urged Lt Governor to remove Kejriwal’s house and give his house to the chief minister. As Congress leader Ajay Maken reminded Kejriwal that he made a promise in 2013 to refrain from using a car with a red light, extra security, and an official house, the Congress joined the latest controversy the BJP has brought up in the nation’s capital on Tuesday. However, he purchased marble polished by Dior, pricey draperies, and fine carpets, and his party is called the Aam Aadmi Party, according to Maken.

While the BJP spearheaded the widespread campaign against Kejriwal, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha claimed that certain individuals have developed a strong desire to debate the carpet, curtain, pillow, and pillowcases that Kejriwal uses. “I want to remind them that you should also bring up the new helicopter that Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani spent 191 crore on. Additionally, the Madhya Pradesh chief minister spent 20 crores refurbishing his home. Please have a discussion about PM Modi’s home and the sum of money spent on the IIT event in Bengaluru in one day. The comparison will then be fair, Raghav added.

According to Raghav Chadha, the house was not repaired; rather, it was completely reconstructed because it was unlivable.

According to the specifics of the work orders, a total of Rs. 11.3 crore was spent on interior decorations, a total of Rs. 6 crore on imported Vietnamese marble, a total of Rs. 1 crore for interior design consulting, a total of Rs. 5.43 crore for electrical, automatic smart lighting, and firefighting systems, a total of Rs. 1.1 crore for kitchen appliances, including a built-in charcoal grill, and a total of Rs. 1 crore for wooden flooring.

As most public development projects stalled during the Covid phase, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said, “Kejriwal should answer the people of Delhi about his moral authority with which he spent around 45 crore on the beautification of his bungalow.”
