RSS Leader Sends Defamation Notice Against Satya Pal Malik Over Bribery Allegation

Former Jammu and Kashmir governor Satya Pal Malik claimed in an interview that Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Ram Madhav tried to influence him regarding a health insurance scheme deal involving a 300 crore kickback. In response, Madhav sent Malik a defamation notice. Malik asserted in a conversation.

When Malik was the governor of J&K, he said in October 2021 that a senior RSS official had offered him a bribe of 300 crore to have two files pertaining to “Ambani” cleared. In a YouTube interview, Malik identified the RSS official as Madhav.

In a press conference on Tuesday, the Congress played up the interview and questioned why Ram Madhav has not received any visits from the CBI or ED in response to Satya Pal Malik’s charges.

Given that a former governor has exposed Ram Madhav, Khera questioned why the CBI or ED haven’t knocked on his door.

The Congress leader questioned why Ram Madhav had not yet been summoned up for interrogation after the CBI publicly questioned the former governor at its headquarters.

“The ED-CBI frequently raids or questions opposition leaders; why not BJP leaders? Why the disparity in treatment, he demanded.

“If Malik is speaking the truth, then why have the CBI, ED, or other agencies not taken action against Madhav, else there should be action against Malik if his claims are untrue,” he questioned.

Madhav stated that these are “totally false allegations”.

“The CBI has already conducted a comprehensive investigation. The peddlers of these bogus accusations will soon face defamation lawsuits from me, the RSS head declared.
