After the announcement of Elon Musk stepping down as the Twitter Chief Executive Officer and taking a new role as chief technologist, NBCUniversal executive Linda Yaccarino is likely to become the new CEO.
On Thursday, Musk announced in a tweet that the company’s new CEO will start in around 6 weeks but he didn’t name anyone.
Meanwhile, a representative for NBCUniversal said she was doing rehearsals for company’s upfront presentations to the advertisers.
In last October, Elon Musk had bought Twitter for worth $44 billion and had made it clear that he will remain the CEO for a limited period of time once after the microblogging site is completely revamped.
Ever since, the Tesla owner took the Twitter, he had been continuously drawing criticism for his rough changes in the policies.
He has even expressed his future ideas that he wants to convert the microblogging site into an “everything app” that will even include the financial services.
