Yami Gautam Shares Her Filming Experience Of Article 370 During Pregnancy As Film Hits Cinemas

Director Aditya Suhas Jambhale’s political actioner Article 370, starring Yami Gautam and Priyamani in the lead roles, is emerging as a decent hit at the box office thanks to brilliant planning that included releasing the film on a weekend when it won’t face stiff competition due to the absence of other big projects. The makers claim that Article 370 has brought in a total of Rs 34.71 crore globally, with Rs 26.15 crore coming in at the box office in India.

In the meantime, Gautam recently talked about her experience filming while pregnant, emphasising her attempts to strike a balance between her obligations as a professional and her personal responsibilities, which includes parenthood.

“First of all, I am very fortunate that all the action scenes and rigorous training were done before (pregnancy) and the remaining was mostly talking portions, scenes, exterior shots, travel and all. So, there are certain moments when you realise your true potential and can you do beyond your reserved energy and how much strength your mind has,” she said during a chat with news agency recently.

Yami Gautam also acknowledged her husband, Aditya Dhar, as her main pillar of support, stating, “The emotional support I got from him was incredible.” Dhar, who is also the producer of the film shared, “It’s a feeling which I can’t express in words. We took a lot of precautions and there was the panel of doctors on set.”

Gautam and Dhar, who got married in 2021, revealed their five-and-a-half-month pregnancy at the Article 370 trailer presentation earlier this month.

In addition to including important performances from Ashwini Kaul, Vaibhav Tatwawadi, Kiran Karmarkar, Arun Govil, and Skand Thakur, this political thriller addresses the repeal of Article 370 while taking place against the backdrop of the conflict in Kashmir.

In her review, “Article 370 presents the government of the day’s scrapping of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir as a masterclass in State craft, mixing facts with fiction and some convenient untruths.”
