Virender Sehwag, Aarti Ahlawat Part Ways After Two Decades of Marriage, Divorce Imminent

After 20 years of marriage, Indian cricket legend Virender Sehwag and his wife, Aarti Ahlawat, are allegedly divorcing. After getting married in 2004, the couple seems to have unfollowed one another on Instagram, raising questions about whether they are still together. According to family-friendly sources, the couple has been living apart for a number of months and a divorce is probably imminent.

Together, Aarti and Virender, who is renowned for his explosive batting style, have two sons: Vedant was born in 2010 and Aryavir was born in 2007. Even though they have been partners for a long time, recent events suggest that their distance is growing. Fans saw that Virender posted pictures of his mother and sons on social media throughout the Diwali festivities, but he made no mention of or included any images of Aarti. This silence only added fuel to the rumours of an impending separation.

Virender posted pictures from his journey to the Vishwa Nagayakshi Temple in Palakkad to his Instagram account two weeks ago. Aarti was not mentioned in the message, though, which further suggests that their relationship is strained. The cricket legend has not yet issued an official comment, but their fans are talking about the couple’s public separation.

Born in New Delhi, Aarti Ahlawat has mostly kept a quiet profile. She was born on December 16, 1980, and attended Lady Irwin Secondary School and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan before graduating from Maitreyi College, Delhi University, with a diploma in computer science.

Beginning in the early 2000s, the couple’s romance reached its climax in 2004 with a lavish wedding held at the home of former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. They have been regarded as a cohesive team over the years, juggling Virender’s cricketing obligations with their family lives. But according to reports, they decided to split up because their relationship had been rocky for some time.

After retiring from international cricket in 2015, Virender has taken on a number of responsibilities, such as being a member of the National Anti-Doping Agency’s Anti-Doping Appeal Panel. In light of these events, his hitherto mostly private personal life is now being scrutinized by the public. While neither Virender nor Aarti has made an official announcement, the signs of their separation are becoming increasingly evident.
