In a recent Instagram post, Urvashi Rautela appeared to reveal the subject of her upcoming movie: Parveen Babi. In an announcement she published on Sunday, Rautela stated that Bollywood had failed the late actress and informed her followers about the upcoming biography.
An image that Urvashi Rautela posted states, “A film By – Wasim M. Khan,” and beside Parveen Babi’s name, “Story Line” is written. The actress assured the audience that she would honour the late actress.
“Bollywood Failed #ParveenBabi but I will make you proud #PB ~ UR. Om Namah Shivay.” She added, “Trust the magic of new beginnings.”
Her fans immediately swamped the comment area with well wishes when she uploaded the post. A user wrote, “It will be a superhit because you are a hardworking person. Love your acting in every movies.” Another wrote, “Thank you for making the movie about #Praveen Babi.”
One of the most well-known actresses of her era was Parveen Babi. She was regarded as a style icon and the first actress from Bollywood to grace the cover of TIME magazine in 1976. Parveen Babi had a ten-year career and appeared in about 50 films, contributing to major Bollywood hits. She co-starred with Amitabh Bachchan in Majboor, Deewaar, Amar Akbar Anthony, Suhaag, Kaala Patthar, and Namak Halaal, among other films. The actress passed away at the age of 50 in January 2005.
Urvashi Rautela last appeared in the film The Legend and most recently travelled to Cannes to promote the biopic. It served as her screenwriting debut in Tamil cinema. The movie co-starred Legend Saravanan, Geethika Tiwary among others. Also, she made a special appearance in the song Wild Saala in Akhil Akkineni’s Agent. She gained fame after winning the title of Miss Diva Universe 2015.
