The Civil Services 2022 exam results were made public on Tuesday by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Ishita Kishore secured AIR 1 this year, followed by Garima Lohia, Uma Harathi N, and Smriti Mishra. Women once again dominated the top places.
Shruti Sharma achieved All India Rank 1 in the UPSC CSE 2021 exam the previous year. Women held the top three spots, with Gamini Singla from Chandigarh coming in at number three and Ankita Agarwal earning AIR 2.
Candidates who took the personality test can see their results at upsc.gov.in, the site’s official website. The preliminary UPSC CSE examination took place on June 5, 2022, and the results were made public on June 22. The main exam was given between September 16 and September 25, and the results were released on December 6. On May 18, the interviews came to an end.
James, a junior research fellow in international relations under the UGC, said she had already made up her mind to pursue foreign services after passing the exam on her second attempt.
For free coaching (with an accommodation facility) in order to prepare for the Civil Services examination in 2024, applications are being accepted by the Residential Coaching Academy (RCA), Centre for Coaching and Career Planning, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI). For this programme, candidates from the SC, ST, and women’s communities are welcome to apply. The application must be submitted online only by May 25.
The examination is conducted annually in three stages, prelims, main and interview (personality test), to select officers for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and other posts.
