Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday examined the site reserved for setting up AYUSH University at Pipri and Tarkulwa towns in Gorakhpur and taught authorities to get ready for the establishment laying ceremony on August 28.
President Ram Nath Kovind will honour the function.
The chief minister also asked the authorities to get ready for working relating to the laying of roads and helipad before the establishment laying program.
Regional president of BJP Janardan Tiwari taught party leaders to make mindfulness among general society about the program. Pipraich MLA Mahendra Pal Singh also attended the event.
The total land acquired for the venture is 52 and the PWD has prepared the detailed report of the venture of Rs 299.87 crore for the equivalent.
A wide range of AYUSH colleges will be affiliated with the University, said regional Ayurvedic and Unani official, Prakash Chandra.
As of now, there are 98 AYUSH colleges and the development of the varsity will be finished by March 2023, Mr Chandra further said.
