Salman Khan, an actor, has been threatened with death again. According to sources, a threatening message was sent to the Mumbai Traffic Police helpline’s WhatsApp number on Monday morning, stating that they would kill the actor after breaking into his home and detonating a bomb in his car. The Mumbai Police have filed a report and are currently looking into it.
On Monday morning, several news outlets announced that Salman Khan had received a new threat to his life from an unidentified individual. The actor was threatened with death in his home by the text message, which was received on the Mumbai Traffic Police helpline’s WhatsApp number. The actor lives in Bandra, Mumbai, at the Galaxy Apartments with his family. Last year, shots were fired at Salman’s house by shooters associated with the Bishnoi gang, following which the actor’s security was beefed up. This is the fifth time the actor has received a threat to his life in the last two years.
According to reports, Mumbai Police have filed a complaint against unidentified individuals in relation to the recent death threat. Authorities are currently attempting to determine where the threatening message originated, according to sources.
Salman and his family members, notably father Salim Khan, have received multiple death threats within the past two years. Mumbai Police also discovered an assassination plot at the actor’s Panvel property last year. The actor was apparently being stalked by members of Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang, who planned to assassinate him when he arrived to the property. Due to a blackbuck poaching lawsuit against the actor in the 1990s, Lawrence Bishnoi has publicly expressed his contempt for the actor. Blackbucks are considered sacred by the Bishnoi people. Lawrence has demanded Salman go to Rajasthan and apologise for ‘killing a blackbuck’, else he will be killed. Notably, the court has dismissed the poaching case against Salman.
Salman was recently seen on screen in AR Murugadoss’ Bollywood comeback, Sikandar. The film was released in theatres on the occasion of Eid, but did not make a strong start. Sikandar has earned just over ₹200 crore worldwide and ₹109 crore in India, but is now slowing down. It is likely that the film will end its run short of ₹250 crore, which should be a disappointing figure for Salman.
