Hours after removal of blue tick or “verified” badge from the personal handle of Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu Twitter has restored it. This comes after India flagged the verification removal from the account of the Vice President.
On Asked about the cause, Twitter replied that it was done due to long gap in login.
According to the officials of the Vice President Secretariat told that the Mr Naidu’s personal handle @MVenkaiahNaidu was inactive for a long and the last tweet posted on the handle was of 23 July last year and that is why the Twitter algorithm removed the blue tick.
Meanwhile, the official handle of the VP M Venkaiah Naidu @VPSecretariat continued to have the blue tick which has around 9.3 lakh followers while his personal handle has 13 lakh followers.
According to the sources, when the Vice President’s office raised the concern of the blue tick then they were told that it was not intentional and happened because Mr Naidu’s handle was not functional for a long time.
