Trudeau Reacts to Attack on Hindu Temple, Khalistani Extremists Target Worshippers in Canada

A group of individuals claiming to be Khalistani radicals attacked devotees at a Hindu temple in Brampton, Canada, on Sunday.

Videos of a bunch of guys brandishing Khalistani flags beating people with sticks outside the Hindu Sabha Mandir are making the rounds on social media.

“Acts of violence” at the Hindu Sabha Mandir in Brampton were denounced by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as reprehensible.

The emergence of blatant violent extremism in Canada was highlighted by Canadian Member of Parliament Chandra Arya, who denounced the violence and claimed that Khalistani radicals had crossed a “red line.”

Arya shared a video of the attack on X and wrote, “A red line has been crossed by Canadian Khalistani extremists today. The attack by Khalistanis on the Hindu-Canadian devotees inside the premises of the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton shows how deep and brazen has Khalistani violent extremism has become in Canada.”

He added, “I begin to feel that there is a small grain of truth in the reports that in addition to Canadian political apparatus, Khalistanis have effectively infiltrated into our law enforcement agencies.”

Furthermore, the Canadian MP voiced concerns that Khalistani extremists are abusing Canada’s freedom of expression legislation and getting away with it.

“No wonder that under the ‘freedom of expression’ Khalistani extremists are getting a free pass in Canada. As I have been saying for long, Hindu-Canadians, for the security and safety of our community, need to step up and assert their rights and hold politicians accountable,” Arya wrote.

Pierre Poilievre, the head of the Canadian opposition, denounced the Khalistani fanatics’ attack on the Hindu Sabha temple. He underlined that everyone in Canada ought to be allowed to peacefully practise their religion.

Poilievre added that the Conservatives pledged to bring the populace together and put an end to the mayhem, condemning the attack.

Poilievre shared a post on X that read, “Today’s violence against worshippers at the Hindu Sabha Mandir in Brampton is completely unacceptable.” “All Canadians should be free to practice their faith in peace. Conservatives condemn this violence unequivocally. I will unite our people and end the chaos,” he added.

The violence was referred to as “protest” by Canada’s Peel Regional Police, who also stated that any violent or vandalistic acts or threats will be looked into.

According to the police, they have stepped up their presence to keep an eye on and stop any illegal activity.
