According to media reports, a Tibet Airlines plane on Thursday morning caught fire after going off the runway at China’s Chongqing airport.
“A flight from Chongqing to Lhasa at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport overran the runway, causing the plane to catch fire,” said the reports.
The airline said that all 113 passengers and nine crew have been “Safely evacuated”.
However, the airlines said that all the 113 passengers on board and 9 crew members have been “safely evacuated” from the plane.
“The injured passengers were all only lightly injured and have been sent to hospital for treatment,” said the airline.
The flight had been then scheduled to leave Chinese city Chongqing for Nyingchi, Tibet, it further said.
