The Biggest Film Bazaar Of South Asia Edition 2022

South Asia has its bigges Film Bazaar which support creative as well as economic partnership between international film communities and South Asia.

This Film Bazaar is organized by the National Film Development Corporation which has now turned into worldwide South Asian film market. It begun its operations with small rankings in 2007. The market which is held in editions see increase in national and international participants every time.

Films like Margarita With A Straw, Miss Lovely, Ship of Theseus, Lunch Box, Titli, Anhe Ghode Da Daan, Court, Dum Lagake Haisha, Chauthi Koot and Qissa are sole of the best productions of this market.

Every edition is held for the course of five days which becomes the intersecting point for both the buyers and sellers of films from all across the world. The objective is of identifying, showcasing, encouraging the South Asian content and creativity in film production and distribution. It even boosts sales of world cinema across the South Asian region.

Due to Covid-19 the event was held online in 2020 and 2021 but this year the Film Bazaar will be physically held in 2022 between 20 and 24 November at Marriott Resort, Goa, India.

The National Film Development Corporation Limited (NFDC) was established in 1975 under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India with the goal of encouraging Good Cinema Movement.

For past years, NFDC has been credited with best films of notable directors like The Making of the Mahatma by Shyam Benegal, Ghare-Baire by Satyajit Ray, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro by Kundan Shah, The Lunch Box By Ritesh Batra, Gandhi by Richard Attenborough, Mirch Masala by Ketan Mehra and many more.

Besides, the NFDC has extended its financial aide to over 300 films in 29 regional languages.

This acclaimed National Film Development Corporation has been very effective in developing an ecosystem for the growth, financial backing and easy distribution of films all across the country.

The largest South Asian Film Bazaar is the crucial part of this NFDC initiative set up the ministry of information and broadcasting.
