The first phase of the “BLR Metaport” was launched on Tuesday, according to Bangalore International Airport Ltd. (BIAL), the company that runs Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport (BLR Airport). The JIC’s main objective is to promote the creation and deployment of digital aviation solutions.”

The goal of the JIC for BIAL is to be at the forefront of technological innovation in India’s commercial aviation by utilising emerging technologies to create new business models and passenger experiences “The declaration said.

The BLR Metaport is made to provide travellers with a better digital experience. According to the statement, a 3D interface would give passengers new ways to interact with the airport, including checking into flights, navigating terminals, purchasing, and social features like mingling with other passengers.

“This is our first venture into the world of Web3 and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and we hope to please travellers with a unique, immersive, and virtual experience,” said Satyaki Raghunath, chief strategy and development officer at BIAL.
