Recently, in Udaipur, actor Taapsee Pannu and her longtime partner Mathias Boe tied the marriage. According to news reports, they tied the knot on Saturday, March 23. Their family and close friends were present at the rituals, which got underway on Wednesday.
Pannu was joined in marriage through a customary ceremony. Although the pair hasn’t announced their engagement yet, friends and relatives have started posting pictures from the party on social media.
A source told, “The wedding took place in Udaipur and was an extremely intimate affair. The pre-wedding festivities kick-started on March 20. The couple was very sure that they didn’t want any media attention on their big day. Both of them are known to be very private and reserved people and they wouldn’t have had it any other way.”
However, not many Bollywood celebrities were part of the event. “Taapsee’s Dobaaraa and Thappad co-star Pavail Gulati joined the guests at her and Mathais’ wedding. Anurag Kashyap, who shares a rather close bond with Taapsee and has directed her in films like Manmarziyaan and Dobaara and produced (her directorial debut) Saand Ki Aankh also flew to Udaipur,” reported News Agency.
Himanshu Sharma, Kanika Dhillon’s spouse, was also present at the function. Kanika shared a number of pictures to Instagram. She was posing outside in the pictures, wearing an ensemble of pink and silver. She had captioned the post, “Keeping it peach #StyleWithKanika #MereYaarKiShaadi #HimanshuSharma #KanikaDhillon.”
Gulati even shared a group picture on Instagram from what appears like the wedding venue. One can also spot Taapsee’s sister Shagun Pannu in the photo, dressed in a pastel blue sequin lehenga. Abhilash Thapliyal and badminton player Chirag Shetty were also part of the picture. He wrote, “Twinkle twinkle little star, we have no idea where we are!” In the comment section, Abhilash wrote ‘IYKYK’. A comment read, “Congrats coach.” A person said, “Mathias wedding.”
Mathias Boe, a 43-year-old badminton player from Denmark, debuted internationally in 1998. He became the world’s best doubles player and is now the Indian team’s doubles coach.
Taapsee Pannu recently stole the show for designers Gauri & Nainika at the fourth day of Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) by donning an off-the-shoulder mermaid gown made entirely of black velvet. The upcoming thriller Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, a follow-up to Haseen Dilruba, stars Taapsee Pannu, much to the delight of her fans. The new movie, which will be available to stream on Netflix, stars Vikrant Massey, Sunny Kaushal, and Jimmy Sheirgill in the key roles. The formal release date is still pending, though.
Taapsee and Mathias are expected to announce their wedding soon after which they will be hosting a big wedding reception in Mumbai for their industry colleagues and friends who were not present at the wedding.
