The actress has just released a new ad for her next series, “Taali,” in which she will portray the life of transgender campaigner Gauri Sawant.
Sushmita Sen unveiled the newest teaser for “Taali” on her Instagram account on Friday night. In the new promo, she can be seen saying the powerful dialogue, “Main taali bajati nahi bajwati hoon.” (I don’t clap, I make others clap.)

Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartk D Nishandar are the authors of “Taali.” It is being post-produced and is being directed by Ravi Jadhav. Shreegauri Sawat, a transgender activist in real life, and Sushmita Sen will portray the key characters in the web series, which is a biography. It will shed light on Shreegauri Sawant’s amazing life, including her early years, gender transformation, and role in India’s groundbreaking transgender movement.
Talking about her look to a news portal in the web-series earlier, Sushmita Sen said, “A story of struggle, resilience, and indomitable power, that’s Shreegauri Sawant for you! Nothing makes me more proud and grateful than to bring this journey that has been rife with challenges, only to witness a revolution! On the personal front, Sushmita Sen recently shocked the entire country by revealing that she had had a severe heart attack. She underwent angioplasty and stent installation and posted an update on Instagram regarding the procedure.
The actress’s next professional appearance will be in the Ram Madhvani-directed web series “Aarya 3,” which also stars Ankur Bhatia, Sikandar Kher, Viren Vazirani, Virti Vaghani, Pratyaksh Panwar, and Sugandha Garg in prominent parts.
