Anil Kant, the head of the Kerala Police, has mandated the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) in relation to the terrible “Black Magic” human sacrifice murder case that took place in Kerala and involved two women who were allegedly murdered and dismembered. S Sasidharan, the deputy commissioner of police in Kochi, has been given the responsibility of leading the SIT’s investigation. The lead investigator will be Perumbavoor ASP Anuj Paliwal. In addition, the team would include Elamakara Police Station Sub Inspector Aine Babu, Kaladi Police Station Sub Inspector Bipin TB, Kadavantra Station House Officer Baiju Jose, and Ernakulam Central Assistant Commissioner C Jayakumar as the investigating officers. The SIT will be directly supervised by the department ADGP law and order, according to media reports.
A startling disclosure regarding the police’s remand report in the “human sacrifice” case was made earlier on Wednesday. The suspects in the “human sacrifice” case allegedly sliced one of the victim ladies into 56 pieces. The defendants Muhammad Shafi and Laila are accused of putting a knife into the victims’ genitalia, according to the remand report.
According to the remand report, “The two accused, Bhagaval Singh and Laila, planned for the crime with the support of chief accused Muhammed Shafi in order to obtain economic success.”
“On September 26, 2022, Shafi met Padma, a 52-year-old woman who had previously sold lottery tickets in Kochi. She was seduced by Shafi’s promise of Rs 15,000 for sex services. She eventually consented and accompanied Shafi to the Pathanamthitta district residence of Bhagaval Singh and Laila. There, the suspect put a plastic chain around her neck and strangled her to render her unconscious. Shafi then slit Padma’s throat in order to kill her by inserting a knife into her vagina. They then dismembered her into 56 parts, placed them in buckets, and buried her in a pit “says the report.
In June of this year, another occurrence took place. In the Kottayam district, the accused Shafi met Roslin and enticed her by promising her Rs 10 lakh for acting in a blue movie. She went visited the location of the couple’s residence after approving it. There, they bound her hands and legs to a cot while plastering her mouth with a piece of cloth. Laila, the accused, allegedly placed a knife into the victim’s vagina while she was unconscious. Her throat was then slit. The victim’s breast was then severed and held by the second defendant, Bhagaval Singh. She was then jointly chopped into pieces and buried in the pit by the three defendants.
A day after the suspected human sacrifice case in Kerala came to light, Kerala police revealed on Wednesday that the main suspect may have consumed the victims’ flesh. Kochi commissioner CH Nagraju claimed during a press conference that the main defendant, Shafi, is a pervert with a criminal past.
According to City Police Commissioner CH Nagaraju earlier that day, the problem was brought to light on Tuesday when three people, among them a lady, were detained on suspicion of seducing and killing women as part of black magic practises.
Three people were taken into custody by the police, including Bhagaval Singh and Laila, a husband and wife team, and Shafi. All three suspects were placed in judicial prison on Wednesday by the Ernakulam magistrate court for a period of 14 days, which will finish on October 26. Police are also looking into any sexual exploitation that the main suspect may have engaged in.
