“Around 7 pm, while we were inside our tent, we heard some suspicious voices. As soon as we came out of the tent, we saw two people talking on the phone. Around 7.30 pm, a few people came on two motorcycles. They stopped at the tent and murmured ‘Hello friends’. We came out of our tent by lighting our head torch and saw five people rushing towards (us) and two more people moving towards our tent. They were talking in the local language and were also using a few English words in between,” the FIR quotes her as reported by the news agency.
She remarked on Tuesday that she has safely driven over 20,000 km in India and has no complaints against the people of that country. She would continue her globe tour, she told reporters just before she and her husband rode their motorcycles from Bihar to Nepal. “Indigenous people are friendly. It’s the criminals who deserve the blame, not the people. I have received excellent treatment and kindness from the people of India,” the woman remarked, as reported by the news agency. Pitamber Singh Kherwar, the superintendent of police in Dumka, stated that the CID and forensic team are assisting them with the investigation. “We will ensure stringent punishment to the accused through a speedy trial,” added the SP.
