The trailer for Sitaare Zameen Par, starring Aamir Khan, was released by the film’s producers on Tuesday. The trailer, which was released today on social media and Zed Network Channels, provides an insight into the world of Bollywood’s meticulous filmmaker Aamir Khan.
The film, which was written by Divy Nidhi Sharma and directed by RS Prasanna, is the spiritual follow-up to the popular 2007 movie Taare Zameen Par. While the previous film concentrated on the story of a dyslexic youngster, Sitaare Zameen Par offers a new, motivational story that incorporates humour and centres on the aspirations and lifestyles of people with special needs. The Spanish movie Champions served as its inspiration.
Aamir Khan plays assistant basketball coach Gulshan in the teaser, who becomes angry with his head coach and punches him. He was then hired by the court as a coach to prepare a basketball team of kids with special needs for the National Championship. In addition, Genelia Deshmukh will be seen as his spouse, helping him along the way. However, Darsheel Safary’s character is not revealed in the three-minute and twenty-nine-second trailer.
In addition to Aamir Khan, Genelia Deshmukh and Darsheel Safary play important roles in this film. Notably, a number of performers will be making their acting debuts with this movie, including Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar. Produced by Aamir Khan Productions, the film is slated for a theatrical release on June 20, 2025.
