Serbia Cancels Visa-Free Entry To Indian Nationals From Jan 1

All Indian nationals will no longer be granted visa-free access into Serbia starting on January 1, 2023, according to the Serbian authorities. Visitors with Indian passports will no longer be permitted entry into Serbia without a visa as of the start of the new year.

The nation in central Europe made its most recent decision while taking the demands of the EU’s visa policy into consideration.

According to a government statement, Serbia has “withdrawn the previous agreement of visa-free entrance into Serbia for all Indian passport holders for stays in Serbia up to 30 days.”

Before, people with Indian passports could enter the nation without a visa. Indian nationals were permitted to visit without a visa for 30 days each year. However, starting in 2019, this amenity will no longer be available.

The Serbian Embassy in New Delhi or another country must provide ordinary Indian passport holders a visa before they can enter the nation after January 1.

For a period of 90 days, Indian nationals with a current Schengen, UK, or US visa may enter Serbia without a visa.

Apart from India, Serbia has stopped allowing nationals of Burundi, Tunisia, and Guinea-Bissau to travel without a visa.

The Maldives, Thailand, Indonesia, Mauritius, and other nations continue to be visa-free travel destinations for Indians.
