Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday announced that all schools in Delhi will remain close amid second wave of coronavirus.
“Due to increasing cases of Covid-19, all schools, government and private, in Delhi are being closed for all classes till further orders,” tweeted Kejriwal.
This comes amid the worsening situation in the national capital as it recorded 7,437 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday. The city has been on high rise since last week and is recording biggest rise since November.
As a precautionary measure against the disease the AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) government on Tuesday imposed a night curfew in the city till April to curb the spread of the highly infectious virus. Delhi remains under night curfew from 10 pm to 5 am.
