Since its invasion in Ukraine, Russia in its first encounter with the US military on Tuesday clipped the propeller of one of the spy drones of US and made it crash into the Black Sea.
Following the event, the Moscow’s ambassador to Washington said that his nation see the incident as a mere provocation. While, Russian Defence Ministry kept a different statement.
US military alleged that the two Russian Su-27 recklessly dumped fuel on its MQ-9 to damage it and late in just 30-40 minutes one of the Russian jets collided with it to make it crash in the sea.
In his statement, the US Air Force General James Hecker said that the unprofessional conduct by the Russian military deliberately made both the planes crash.
However, Russia has bluntly denied that any of its aircraft in contact with unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
After the incident, Russia’s Ambassador to Washington – Anatoly Antonov was called by the US State Department to discuss what exactly happened.
Mr Antonov following the meeting said that the discussion was fruitful.
