RRR Wins Best Foreign Language Film Following Golden Globe Award

RRR, the latest film from director SS Rajamouli, is making history every day. At the Critics Choice Awards, which were held recently at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles, the historical drama starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan was named Best Foreign Language Film. In order to accept the award, SS Rajamouli and his son, SS Karthikeya, approached the stage. The movie took home the coveted Best Original Song prize at the prestigious Golden Globes 2023 last week.

With their spouses, SS Rajamouli, Jr. NTR, and Ram Charan attended the 2023 Golden Globes in Los Angeles. The movie’s song Naatu Naatu was awarded the honourable distinction.

RRR has now won the Best Foreign Language Film Critics Choice Award in Los Angeles, following its Golden Globes victory. Congratulations to the cast and crew of @RRRMovie – winners of the #criticschoice Award for Best Foreign Language Film (sic), stated the Critics Choice Awards’ official Twitter account in announcing the same.

Rajamouli and Karthikeya, a father-son pair, approached the podium to accept the trophy. Rajamouli and his family will return to Hyderabad following this, according to Karthikeya’s post.

The Telugu liberation heroes Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem, who are portrayed by Ram Charan and Jr. NTR, respectively, are the subjects of the fictional historical drama RRR. DVV Danayya produced the movie on a massive budget of roughly Rs 550 crore. The movie continued to do well in Japan and eventually made over Rs 1200 crore worldwide.

Along with Jr. NTR and Ram Charan, other notable actors who appear in the movie include Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, Olivia Morris, Shriya Saran, and Samuthirakani. The music, by MM Keeravaani, won the 2023 Golden Globes.
