The walkout by resident doctors in Delhi, which had been protesting the delay in NEET-PG counselling and alleged police mistreatment of doctors, has been called off. They will resume work today at 12 p.m.
After a meeting between members of the Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association (FORDA) and the Joint CP of Delhi, the strike was called.
“Last evening we met the Joint CP of Delhi. The Delhi police have initiated the process of quashing the FIR,” Dr Manish, president of FORDA said. Joint CP has sent a video message to rebuild the trust between the doctors and the police, Manish said.
The Supreme Court is now hearing many petitions contesting the EWS quota in the All India Quota (AIQ) for NEET PG 2021 counselling. The doctors had urged that the admissions and counselling processes be ramped up.
