Telugu Desam Party Chief and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N Chandrababu Naidu wrote a letter to his party workers from jail to release manifesto on the occasion Dussehra as per the commitment.
The leader of opposition is in jail for over a month now. He had been arrested on September 9 in alleged skill development scam. He had promised to release the party’s manifesto before his arrest.
“Not in jail but in the hearts of the people,” emphasizing that his “primary focus has been the development and well-being of Telugu people,” said Mr Naidu in his letter to party workers.
The three time state Chief Minister has been imprisoned in the Ranamahendravaram Jail where Mahandu event took place before the arrest. At present, he is under judicial custody.
Meanwhile, the leader of opposition has alleged the state ruling YSRCP of intentionally keeping him away from the people by “confining him in a prison” as they fear defeat in election. He even alleged that attempts are being made to spoil his image among the public.
Mr Naidu even wrote to his party workers that his wife, Nara Bhuvneswari, will “advocate on his behalf during his absence” and will also connect with the people through campaign named “Nijam Gelavali”.
