In a strengthening move Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will today take part in the induction ceremony of indigenous light combat helicopters (LCH) for the first time in Jodhpur.
Sharing the news via his Twitter account, he said that the introduction of these new helicopters will strengthen the IAF’s current combating abilities.
The new indigenously developed light combat helicopters have been produced by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and are mainly designed with combating power.
According to its developer HAL, this light combat helicopters are the only helicopters across the world that can land and take-off at a height of 5,000 meters (16400 ft) with a significant heap of weapons and fuel, meeting the particular prerequisites of the Indian Armed Forces.
The newly developed helicopter is outfitted with the essential dexterity, mobility, expanded range, high height execution and nonstop, all-weather conditions fighting ability. It would be a strong stage to meet the functional prerequisites for both the Indian Armed Force and Indian Army.
