Rahul Gandhi To Lead No-Confidence Motion Against Prime Minister Modi Today

Day after Rahul Gandhi restores his parliament membership, he reinstates the no-confidence motion against centre in the absence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The parliament will be open to debate today, said the Congress leader.

Ahead of the no-confidence, the BJP convened a meeting early on Tuesday to discuss, answer and vote by Wednesday and Thursday.

Despite low chances of being passed, the no-confidence motion is Opposition’s tactic to force Prime Minister Modi to break his silence over the ongoing Manipur issue, which has been dominating this Monsoon Session of Parliament.

Since the beginning of this Monsoon Session on July 20, the proceedings have continuously been disrupted by the Opposition and only a few bills on the list have been passed so far.

The Opposition has been demanding Prime Minister Modi’s statement on the ongoing Manipur issue ever since the incident of two women paraded naked came to light and the centre has agreed to address the issue but it has continuously denied for Prime Minister’s statement over the issue.

During the debate total 10 BJP leaders including Amit Shah, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Nirmala Sitharaman, Kiren Rijiju and Smriti Irani will be speaking over the issue.
