Police Furthers Chase Of Amritpal Singh, 4 Top Aides Under Arrest

Amid the chasing of Amritpal Singh by the police, the Khalistani leadwr’s uncle Harjit Singh and his driver Harpreet finally surrendered on Sunday in Mehtapur of Punjab.

However, when questioned Mr Harjit told police that he and Amritpal had split in between the chase.
Four of the arrested top aides to Amritpal Singh have been charged with the strict National Security Act (NSA).

With arrests of 34 on Sunday, so far the police have arrested total 112 aides of Amritpal’s ‘Waris Punjab Se group. Many of them have been detained by police for questioning.

After the videos showing Khalistani sympathiser taking down the national flag outside the Indian High Commission in London, the Indian External Affairs Minister on Sunday evening summoned British Deputy high commissioner Christina Scott.

The police is continuously in motion to catch Amritpal who was last seen escaping on motorcycle in Jalandhar on Saturday. His car has already been seized in which many firearms along with dozens of cartridges were found.

The mobile internet and SMS services have also been suspended in Punjab and in parts of Haryana.

After the police’ crackdown in India, the Khalistani Sympathisers taking to the streets in United Kingdom have launched a wide protests. Videos widely shared on social media of the event showed the protesters climbing on the building of Indian High Commission in London and putting down the national flag.

As per the Intelligence reports, the Khalistani leader was using the gurudwara and drug rehabilitation centres to accumulate weapons and training youths to carry out suicide attacks.
