The new council of ministers of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cabinet have announced to hold a conclave next week to draw out an agenda for the remaining three years of the tenure, said sources.
Since, Modi came to power in 2014 for the first time he has never faced huge criticism as has been facing for last few months. The criticism faced by the prime minister is on range of issues from rising prices of fuels, three agricultural laws to handling of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In July, he expanded his council of ministers by dropping key ministers like Ravi Shankar Prasad, Prakash Javadekar, Ramesh Pokhriyal and included many new ones like Mansukh Mandaviya, Sarbananda Sonowal, Jyotiraditya Scindia and many more in view of upcoming state assembly and general elections and in a bid to avoid criticism.
It is the first time meeting after the oath ceremony of the new ministers. The conclave will start from Tuesday 6 pm in the parliament annexe to draw the agenda for next three hears, said sources.
According to the sources, the work done by the new ministers in last month will be reviewed and new tasks will be assigned to them on the basis of their performance. They will also be oriented in detail about their departments and ministers and the expectations.
The BJP and it’s parental organisation RSS are worried about the declining popularity of PM Modi on the basis criticism and what happened in Bengal elections as 7 states are up for state assembly elections next year and only three years are left for the general elections.
Subsequent to getting back to control in 2019, while the government had the option to list two declarations in its initial two years – scrapping of article 370 and the construction of the Ram Temple in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya – as significant accomplishments, it has been seen flopping despite the COVID-19 pandemic and ceaseless resistance attacks since last year.
Other than the worst handling of the second Covid wave and hounded resistance by farmers against the three farm laws, an eye-watering ascend in costs of fuel, cooking oil and different basics have procured the public authority significant disgrace from middle class citizens in last few months.
