Today, the Vande Bharat Express between Delhi (Anand Vihar) and Dehradun was essentially inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In Uttarakhand, this is the first time that Vande Bharat has been offered.
“Uttarakhand is getting its first Vande Bharat Express today from Dehradun to Delhi. This train will reduce the travelling time of the people,” said PM Modi at the flagging off event of Vande Bharat Express between Dehradun and Delhi.
He said that India is being watched with great hope and the world wants to come and see India. “The world wants to come to India to see India, and to understand the essence of India. In such a situation, there are excellent opportunities for states like Uttarakhand. Vande Bharat train is also going to help Uttarakhand to take full advantage of this opportunity”.
“This Vande Bharat Express train running between Delhi and Dehradun will connect the capital of the country at a faster pace,” said PM Modi while adding that with this train, the travel time between Delhi and Dehradun will be reduced. “The facilities in the train are going to make this journey enjoyable,” PM Modi said.
“Uttarakhand’s connectivity is all set to get a big boost. At 11 AM today, I will be flagging off the Vande Bharat Express between Delhi and Dehradun. Making the occasion even more special is the feat of 100% electrification of Uttarakhand’s rail tracks,” PM Modi tweeted in the morning.
According to the railways’ website, the regular run of the Delhi-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express would begin on May 29.
302 kilometres will be travelled by the train in 4 hours, 45 minutes. Except for Wednesday, the train will run every day of the week.
A chair car with air conditioning will cost Rs 1,065 while an upscale chair car will cost Rs 1,890. Eight carriages will make up the train, providing passengers with a comfortable range of transportation alternatives.
At 17:50, the train carrying passengers to Dehradun will leave from the Anand Vihar station and arrive there at 22:35. The train will stop in Roorkee, Haridwar, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, and Meerut City.
The timings for the Dehradun-Delhi Vande Bharat Express are as follows:
