PM Modi To Visit Denmark Today. Will Participate In Second India-Nordic Summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Denmark’s Copenhagen today, May 3 on his three-day visit to Europe. He will meet Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and will then take part in the Second India-Nordic Summit with the Prime Ministers of Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Iceland.

PM Modi’s visit to Denmark today will be his first visit to Nordic country.

External Affairs Affairs Minister Arindam Bagchi on Tuesday shared a video highlighting the different elements of India-Denmark ties, like Green Strategic Partnership.

The Green Strategic Partnership was established in September 2020 and was “translated into a results-oriented five-year action plan” at the time of Mette Frederiksen’s India visit in 2021.

The video also showed that more than 200 Denmark companies are too active in mission like Jal Jeevan Mission, Make In India, Digital India etc. On the other hand more than 60 Indian firms in Denmark are setting up business partnership between the two countries.

Today on his visit to Denmark, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet Queen Margrethe II and will be part of India-Denmark Business Forum. He will also address the Indian diaspora there.

For Second India-Nordic-Summit, PM Modi will open a talk with Nordic countries to boost the areas like renewable energy, innovation and technology and climate.

PM Modi will even hold talks with Prime Ministers of Iceland (Katrin Jacobsdottir), Finland (Sanna Marin), Norway (Jonas Gahr Store) and Sweden (Magdalena Andersson).Scholz

On Monday, PM Modi met German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
