PM Modi to Open 32nd International Agricultural Economists Conference in New Delhi

Inaugurating the 32nd International Conference of Agricultural Economists (ICAE) today at the National Agricultural Science Centre (NASC) Complex in New Delhi is Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is scheduled to begin at 9:30 AM. The PM will also speak to the assembly.

The International Association of Agricultural Economists is organising the triennial event, which will take place in India from August 2–7, 2024, commemorating its 65-year return.

“Transformation Towards Sustainable Agri-Food Systems,” this year’s subject, attempts to address the pressing need for sustainable agriculture in the face of international issues such resource degradation, growing production costs, climate change, and conflicts. The conference will showcase India’s proactive approaches to addressing these problems as well as the country’s achievements in agricultural policy and research.

Young scholars and seasoned professionals will find ICAE 2024 to be a useful forum for showcasing their work and connecting with colleagues around the world. The purpose of the event is to promote collaborations between research institutes and universities, impact national and international policy-making, and highlight India’s advancements in sustainable agri-food systems and digital agriculture. It is anticipated that the conference would bring together about 1,000 attendees from about 75 different countries, making it a major event for the international agricultural community.
