Paresh Rawal Steps Away from Hera Pheri 3, Cites No Creative Issues

‘Hera Pheri 3’ is a highly anticipated movie, and Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal has announced his departure from it. According to earlier reports, he quit because he and the makers couldn’t agree on their artistic vision. Paresh Rawal has underlined that creative disputes were not the reason behind his leaving.

With a post on X, Paresh Rawal expressed his respect and faith in the film’s director, Priyadarshan. He wrote, “I wish to put it on record that my decision to step away from Hera Pheri 3 was not due to creative differences. I REITERATE THAT THERE ARE NO CREATIVE DISAGREEMENT WITH THE FILM MAKER . I hold immense love, respect, and faith in Mr. Priyadarshan the film director (sic).”

When Paresh Rawal’s departure was announced, fans had a passionate reaction. Many were worried about the movie’s survival in the absence of Baburao Ganpatrao Apte’s original star. Some supporters asked him to change his mind, while others said that if he doesn’t participate, the third installment should be cancelled. The famous characters and humour of the Hera Pheri series are well-known, and Paresh Rawal’s portrayal of Baburao is particularly well-liked.

The 2000 Priyadarshan-directed movie, which starred Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal, marked the start of the Hera Pheri series. Its 2006 follow-up, Phir Hera Pheri, which was helmed by Neeraj Vora, carried on the trio’s escapades. Because of their humour and catchy dialogue, both films have become cult favourites over time.

The horror-comedy ‘Bhooth Bangla’, which was concluded today and is slated for release in 2026, brought Rawal back together with director Priyadarshan and actor Akshay Kumar. ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ is another movie he is working on.
