Opposition’s Begaluru Meet Concluded With Naming Front ‘INDIA’

Following the suggestions from the leaders of opposition the name for the Front led by 26 opposition parties has been finalised as ‘INDIA’ and the tagline as ‘Jeetega Bharat’ (India will win).

Tha alliance is aiming to take on BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The decisions were taken late night on Tuesday with due discussions with all the leaders. It is said that former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had suggested that the tagline for the alliance should be in Hindi.

The leaders of opposition from 26 parties held two day meeting in Bangaluru that concluded on Tuesday. The name INDIA stands for Indian National Development Inclusive Alliance.

Soon after the discussion concluded, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that in 2024 elections there will be a battle named “Modi versus INDIA”. “The fight is between NDA and INDIA, Narendra Modi and INDIA, his ideology and INDIA. India always wins all fights,” he further said.

Amid the opposition’s two day meeting in Bengaluru, the BJP also held a show of strength in Delhi in which representatives from 39 parties took part in.

Meanwhile, responding to the opposition front, Prime Minister said that the alliances “built on negativity have never won”. ” When an alliance is dynastic and corrupt, the country will lose, ” he said further.

It is speculated that the opposition’s selected tagline “Jeetega Bharat” is an attempt to blunt the BJP’s “Bharat vs India”.

West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress Chief Mamata Banerjee following deciding the name for Front said, “BJP, can you challenge INDIA? We love our motherland, we are the patriotic people of the country, we are for farmers, Dalits, we are for the country, for the world… INDIA will win, our country will win and BJP will lose.”
