Opposition To Hold Meeting In Bengaluru Today, Strategy To Take On BJP In 2024 Elections On Agenda

Leaders of Oppositions are going to hold a meeting today in Bengaluru to draw out a strategy to take on BJP in the general elections due next year and also in the upcoming monsoon session of the parliament.

Total 24 opposition parties are expected to take part in the grand meeting today to unite at the front against the saffron party next year.

According to the sources, a subcommittee is expected to be formed to draft a common minimum programme and communication plants for the united opposition for 2024 elections.

A name will also be given the alliance formed by the leaders of opposition.

Following multiple rounds of discussions the Aam Aadmi Party on Sunday announced that it will also take part in the opposition meet today.

“Today, the Congress party cleared its position against Delhi Ordinance. We welcome the announcement. Along with this, AAP will attend the opposition meet in Bengaluru,” said AAP leader Raghav Chadha.

On June 23, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had hosted an opposition meet which was attended by total 15 opposition parties.

The meeting today comes amid the state units of Congress and other left parties have been accusing TMC behind the post panchayat polls violence in West Bengal.

Earlier this month, there was a split between the National Congress Party led by Sharad Pawar after his Nephew Ajit Pawar defected the party.
