Bellamkonda Sreenivas plays the title role in the pan-Indian film Chatrapathi, which Nushrrat Bharuccha is a part of. Bellamkonda Sreenivas made his acting debut with Pyaar Ka Punchnama. She described how the world of cinema had recently opened up to her, allowing her to devour a lot of material from the South and become completely engrossed in it.
“It’s not that it was important for me to do this film now but I have been wanting to do something like this. When I watched Baahubali, I was totally engulfed in the world. Their emotions, their conviction, the storytelling, everything seemed so real. Back then I felt I would love to do something like this. And then a Rajamouli and Prabhas remake came my way, I was like, chalo, let’s do it,” she told.
Bhagyashree, Sharad Kelkar, and VV Vinayak all star in Chatrapathi, an adaptation of the 2005 Telugu film. When discussing her interactions with the director, she remarked on how precisely he is “shooting.” I would have four monologues in a scene, and he would only use two of them, telling me to forget the other two, she said. I’d be curious to know if he revised my lines. He would then appear in another scene and command that those dialogues be taken immediately. You may not be aware of his activities, but he is extremely clear about what he expects from the actor. Additionally, he doesn’t do many takes, which was a novel experience for me.
Nushrratt discussed the ‘number game’ that female actresses engage in. The performer has appeared in both commercial films and roles that required performance. The performer replied with a smile when asked if she thought it was worth competing for the top spot: “You are asking about becoming number one, but there are additional phrases like Top 5 and Top 10. I have no idea what that even means. An actor either matches the role or they don’t. You examine which of these girls performs best. You are unable to visit these top 5 and make a vote there. What if none fit the part? That would be wrong, of course. Sincerely, I don’t want to be on any lists or participate in any races.
She further elaborated on how that has cost her projects. “I have been told that aap poster pe acche nahi lagoge (You won’t look good on posters). Imagine, are they making films or just posters? You can never sell a film only on poster value. So yes, I do hear a lot of these lingos and languages and this is why maybe I like working with new people. They can make Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Sonu Ki Sweety… and kill it. I think at the end of the day if your work backs you, all these myths can be broken,” she said.
The Mission Mangal actor continued by saying that she never allows these things to demotivate her. “As I have mentioned, I like the folks I work with.
