After an old footage of the “Houseful” actor from a beauty competition appeared online, she came under criticism once more. Before entering Bollywood, Fernandez was named Miss Universe Sri Lanka in 2006. When asked about cosmetic surgery in the video, the actor called it a “unfair advantage” that goes against the “concept of beauty pageants.”
“I do believe cosmetic surgery is an unfair advantage since it goes against the entire purpose of beauty pageants, which is to promote the natural beauty of women,” she responded.
Furthermore, if cosmetic surgery is promoted, the issue will change from one of who can afford it to one of who cannot. Furthermore, it is not what beauty pageants are about, according to Fernandez.
The Bollywood star is being attacked on social media for her contradictory comments and acts as a result of a video that was originally published by a pageant page. A social media user criticised the Instagram image in the comments area, saying, “And then she herself forgot what she worries she expressed.”
But today she doesn’t look anything like this, according to one of the comments.
A third user said, “Then she ended up with a whole new face,” and a fourth, “The change of mind when you join movies later.”
