Muslim Man Hoisting Tricolor On Independence Beaten Up By Group Of Men

When a MUSLIM man attempted to hoist the Tricolor in Baghpat’s Ranchad village on Independence Day, he was allegedly beaten up by a group of people who also threatened him with death. Those who assaulted Babu Khan allegedly shouted “pro-Pakistan” slogans, and the accused allegedly tore the Tricolor apart, according to sources.

“Babu Khan has demanded the immediate arrest of those who have shown disrespect to the national flag and also allegedly raised pro-Pakistan slogans in the village. We are conducting an inquiry and will take action once we complete it,” said Baghpat Sub-DivisonalMagistrate Durgesh Mishra.

According to authorities, Babu Khan also warned to “immolate himself outside the residence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow if those responsible for the attack were not arrested soon”, sources claimed.

He further claimed that the local police did not file a FIR, forcing him to file a petition with the SDM.
