The Mumbai Police on Wednesday has filed a case against actors Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani for allegedly violating the Covid-19 protcols.
The duo was found roaming at Bandstand Promenade and could give a valid reason for being out at around 2 pm, said the police.
“The case was registered under section 188 (Disobeying the order of public servant) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). No arrest was made because it is a bailable section,” added the police.
Maharashtra is under lockdown till June 15 and as per the state Covid-19 protocols all essential shops are allowed to open between 7 am to 2 pm.
While, the country’s Covid-19 case tally is continuously showing a decreasing trend as 1,32,788 fresh Covid cases are reported in the country in last 24 hours taking the total tally to 2,83,07,832 with 3,207 fatalities.
This dip is being observed from last 2 weeks after witnessing a national serious record of 4.14 lakh Covid cases in a single day last month.
