Resurfaced on social media recently was an old comment by Mrunal Thakur declaring that she was’madly in love’ with cricket player Virat Kohli. Furthermore, the actor is not cool with it and wants the media to quit using it so frequently.
A recent Instagram post by the media source Instant Bollywood featured a little clip from Mrunal’s previous interview in which she talks about Virat Kohli and declares her love for him. The actor wasn’t happy to be back in the spotlight when social media users began to comment on the post.
The actor vented her displeasure in the comment section. She wrote, “@instantbollywood STOP IT OK.” She said this in support of Jersey, the movie that focused on the world of cricket.
“There was a time when I was madly in love with Virat Kohli. I started liking cricket because of my brother who’s a big fan. I have fond memories of watching a match live at a stadium with him around five years ago. I remember I was wearing a blue jersey and cheering for team India. Cut to today, I am part of a cricket-based film like Jersey. It is such a happy coincidence,” she had told news agency. Shahid Kapoor also starred in the movie. The sports drama told the tale of a former cricket player who returns to the game in his mid-30s to achieve his son’s ambition. It was a remake of the Telugu film of the same name. When it was released in 2022, the movie did not do well at the box office.
The last time Mrunal was seen, Vijay Deverakonda featured in Family Star. Along with Abhinaya, Vasuki, Rohini Hattangadi, and Ravi Babu in supporting roles, Divyansha Kaushik makes a cameo appearance in the movie. When it was first released, audiences’ reaction was lukewarm. She also made a brief appearance with Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD. She has Pooja Meri Jaan and a Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s production in her kitty.
