Media square ( ALEX GEE ) is a well known name in Entertainment industry in India & Dubai. He is the leading casting director for Bollywood in Dubai (he casted for movies like Airlift, Dishooom, Race 3, Saaho, Bharat, Bunty Aur Babli 2, Special OPS, Pathan, Enemy, SVP, Vikram Vedha, Bloody Daddy, Heropanti2.. etc etc) & line producer for more then 100 music videos in Dubai.
We met with alex gee at his grand birthday bash in Delhi and asked him about his journey:
Q1. Tell our readers how you achieved this milestone and your journey so far?
A. I was just 20 years old when I came to Dubai first time. I had passion of acting in me, but as a normal Indian family, they haven’t allowed me to work on that field and then they have sent me to Dubai for some other job, but destiny have some other part to play in my life, and I walk in to that studio and then they gave me my first acting job for a TV serial called ‘Daastaan’ and that is how I started doing some more acting jobs and starting showing interest in casting and production departments and that is how I came behind the camera, this is how I started.
Q2. For you what were those positive turns happened with you as far your career is concerned?
A. Working with Salman Bhai (Khan) and his team is one of the important turning point in my work, it was 2011 when I worked first time with Salman Khan for a premiere of movie “Ready” from that time, I have started gaining relationships with all big production houses in India. I am fortunate enough to gain trust of them and today by grace of god, I worked with every bog production houses of India whether it is SKL, Red Chillies, Nadiadwala Grandson Productions, EROS, Yashraj, Dharma, Emmay, Excel Entertainment to name few. I have been part of IIFA, Dubai Tourism, Pepsi and many more prestigious brands too, Today I have a privilege to work with all of them and other countries for their prestigious work. My team had sone lots of music videos, TV commercials and many other international projects as well as many UAE government related prestigious events from last one decade.
Q3. What message would you like to give today’s generation who want to enter in the business especially in your segment?
A. Stay focused, stay humble and take every detail of work seriously without thinking about its importance as per you. Patience, dedication and discipline will make you unique and will take you places in long run, keep working.
