Mamata holds PM Modi responsible for Covid crisis. Questions pricing disparity in vaccine

Banerjee even questioned the difference in pricing of Covidshield vaccine for states.

Repeating her allegations West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday has once again alleged Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the worsening Covid-19 crisis in the country. She has also called for his resignation after terming the situation as “Modi-made disaster”.

“The second wave of Covid in our country is more intense. But there is a shortage of medicines and oxygen. Vaccines are being shipped to other countries despite a serious scarcity in our country. I say this is a Modi-made disaster. Modi Babu will have to take responsibility for why medicines to treat Covid-19 are not available in the market… If you can not handle the situation, you should quit and give up with the chair,” she said while addressing a rally in Dakshin Dinajpur district, where elections under 6th phase are going on.

In the morning today, Banerjee even questioned the difference in pricing of Covidshield vaccine for states.

Hitting back at the TMC supremo for alleging the centre for all the misfortunes of Covid-19 pandemic BJP said, “The Prime Minister has ensured that anyone above the age of 18 gets the vaccine. Instead of cooperating with the Centre, Mamata Banerjee is busy playing a politics of blame game, ” said Samik Bhattacharya, a BJP spokesperson.
